Adviser Assistant

We have an opportunity for an Adviser Assistant to join our Wealth desk in Melbourne. In this role, you will support a team of Advisers and be integral to the smooth and efficient running of their business.
 
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
  • Manage the day-to-day administration and operational needs of your allocated Advisers’ businesses;
  • Supporting Advisers with market trading and order management;
  • Supporting Advisers with over-flow of phone calls and other client communications;
  • Assisting clients with administration based queries regarding their trades and accounts;
  • Preparation and management account administration documents such as account opening documents, account updates, off-market/broker transfers, corporate actions, estates, super funds and trusts;
  • Assist with market related administration, portfolio and transaction preparation;
  • Provide back up support to Adviser Assistants by assisting their Advisers during periods of leave and with over-flow of work;
Your Skills and Expertise
  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience in a stockbroking, back office or Financial Services role is required;
  • Possession of RG146 accreditation is highly desirable;
  • Knowledge of a wealth management and/or stockbroking systems and IRESS highly regarded;
  • The ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet strict deadlines;
  • Client service focused with excellent interpersonal skills, including building rapport with clients;
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

People & Culture Graduate/Administrator

We have an opportunity for a People & Culture Graduate/Administrator to join our HR team. In this role, you will work directly with the People, Culture & Performance Adviser to provide HR support to our national team. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting with all facets of the employee lifecycle including; new employee administration, existing employee variations, probation processes, annual performance reviews, separation processes.
  • Assisting Hiring Managers with recruitment nationally including; placing ads, recruitment system management and making recommendations about staff appointments;
  • Coordinating staff training and professional development;
  • Maintaining Representative Register/Financial Adviser Register in line with Regulatory and business requirements;
  • Acting as the company OH&S and workers compensation representative;
  • Assisting with the HR related content management, review and maintenance of the company intranet.
  • Undertaking adhoc projects as required.
Your Skills and Expertise
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management and/or Industrial Relations;
  • Up to one-year experience in a HR support role would be preferred but is not essential;
  • High level of organisational skills that enable deadlines to be met and multiple functions to be managed at any one time;
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, be self-directed and work under minimal supervision;
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build a rapport with employees and external stakeholders;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with people.
